A majority of Republicans said they believed the news media is “the enemy of the people” rather than “an important part of democracy” in a poll released Tuesday.
The day before Social Security’s 83rd birthday we are reminded that attacks on our earned benefits are nothing new FDR called the GOP out on this years ago and they’re still up to the same old tricks today.

Democrats will again spend 8 years trying to remove the deficit, while trying not to gut social welfare programs and the Republicans will bitch about the deficit, the debt growing and wasting money on social programs. Then they’ll campaign on debt reduction spending less with smaller government. Idiots will vote them in and they’ll immediately enact tax cuts for the rich, increase deficit, cause a disaster for the democrats to be tasked with fixing and the cycle will repeat again, and again, and again, because republican voters don’t learn.
