As I have emphasized for a decade or two, the US is devolving into a third world workforce where the only employment available is in lowly paid domestic service jobs that cannot be offshored and that do not pay enough to provide an independent existence. This is why 50% of 25-year olds live at home with their parents and why there are more Americans aged 24-34 living with parents than living independently.
~ Paul Craig Roberts, Former Assistant Treasury Secretary in the Reagan Administration
It’s so sad to be living in a country that does so much good in the world only to be hated. Seems as though all of our good is weighed against the actions of our military industrial complex. We always seem to lose when the bombs being dropped around the world are clearly stamped made in the USA.
Maybe all that hate aimed at us might feel differently if we were hated for different reasons.
Maybe if they hated us for having the cleanest water or best health care on Earth, it might feel different. Maybe if they hated us for having the greatest education system, the best green energy grid, psychiatric care, transportation, early child development, the best criminal reform system or even the highest minim wage, it might feel different.
Maybe we could find some real justification if we were hated for the right reasons.
We’re hated for greed. Yes, the Capitalvanian’s greed and their endless thirst for maximum profit. We’re hated for a selfish ideology- one taught to all Americans. It’s one that says we’re justified to create max-profit. Yes, as Americans we’re free to do what ever it takes to profit, regardless of the outcome to seen as well as unseen others!
It leaves me wondering… all this hate, and for what? What are we, the people, getting for all this hate?
We get the highest incarceration rate and the largest total prison population in the entire world. We get more school shootings than anywhere else in the world. We get the highest percentage of women taking antidepressants than in any other country in the world. We get more people being diagnosed with mental disorders in America than anywhere else on Earth. We get the highest rate of illegal drug use on the entire globe. There is more credit card debt in America than anywhere else in the world. We get more mortgage debt in America than anywhere else in the world. We get more student loan debt in America than anywhere else in the world. We get to spend more on health care as a percentage of GDP than any other nation on the face of the earth. We get to spend more on the military than the next 12 nations combined. We get the most foreign military bases in the world and then we get to spend more money on elections than anyone else does in the world by a very wide margin, just to see what we get.
I can’t find a spot in this mess to focus on and they make sure we get that, too…
What I do know is if we can’t find a way to defeat the enemy within, then all the justification in this world-gone-mad will only lead to more hate aimed at us. ~jh.

“Why is Iran regarded here as the greatest threat to world peace? Well, we have an authoritative answer to that from the intelligence community, which provides regular assessments to Congress on the global strategic situation. And a couple of years ago, their report—of course, they always discuss Iran. And the reports are pretty consistent. They say Iran has very low military spending, even by the standards of the region, much lower than Saudi Arabia, Israel, others. Its strategy is defensive. They want to deter attacks long enough for diplomacy to be entertained. The conclusion, intelligence conclusion—this is a couple years ago—is: If they are developing nuclear weapons, which we don’t know, but if they are, it would be part of their deterrent strategy.”
Over the first 75 days of the Trump administration, the White House has taken multiple steps to escalate the possibility of a U.S. war with Iran.
