What percentage of American Adults (able to vote) would believe that the idea that multi-national Corporations being able to spend unlimited amounts of money on getting Politicians elected, is NOT going to cause massive conflicts of interest?.
Call your congressperson at 844-432-0883 and tell them to VOTE NO.
This is it. Paul Ryan has scheduled a vote on the disastrous Trumpcare bill TODAY, and the margin is going to be razor thin. Just one vote, perhaps your Representative’s vote, could make the difference.
Call your Representative right now to tell them to vote NO on Trumpcare using this toll-free number: 1-844-432-0883
Here’s a suggested call script:
My name is [FULL NAME] and I live in [Rep. NAME]’s district. I urge the Representative to reject the Republican healthcare plan – the American Health Care Act –which would kick 24 million people off of their healthcare, raid billions of dollars from Medicare and gut Medicaid. And with the new amendment, give states the option of letting health insurance companies charge sky-high rates to people with pre-existing conditions.
This would be especially dangerous to the tens of millions of Americans in their 50s and early 60s who are not yet eligible for Medicare.
Please tell the Representative to vote NO on the American Health Care Act.
There is currently no absolute inailiable Right to Vote enshrined in the US Constitution, The Voting Rights Act has proven inadaqaute to protect the Right of US Citizen to Vote, Congressman Mark Pocan and Congressman Keith Ellison have introduced legislation to change this, it would have to recieve 300 votes in the House and 75 Votes in the Senate and be ratified by 40 States Legislutures.
SECTION 1: Every citizen of the United States, who is of legal voting age, shall have the fundamental right to vote in any public election held in the jurisdiction in which the citizen resides.
SECTION 2: Congress shall have the power to enforce and implement this article by appropriate legislation.
The fault in our democracy is inaccessibility; you cannot participate (vote, volunteer, attend meetings, meet officials, learn about issues), if you don’t have ample means of sustaining yourself or reliable access to certain necessities like transportation, Internet access, or other resources. If you don’t participate, you have little to no voice or leverage in your ability to self-advocate for improvements. It’s a real catch-22.
Grassroots organizations like ours are built on small-dollar donations, skilled volunteers and lots of hope. Part of our goal in electing a #BrandNewCongress is passing #ElectoralReforms, which make democracy more participatory. That means everything from passing universal healthcare, raising the minimum wage, supporting real family values legislation so parents can spend time with their families, and making Election Day a federal holiday with extended hours and automatic registration.
Your donations help make it possible for us to do the work we do in laying the foundation for a first-of-its-kind, national congressional campaign platform to elect a likeminded, grassroots Congress of non-career politicians.
How do you talk to Republican Voters who say they vote Republican because…
I am Pro-Life
I am Pro-Second Amendment
I want to secure the Border
I am for traditional Marriage
I believe in limited Federal Government and I want my Taxes reduced.
