I am sick and tired of the phony corporate “leftism” that is pumped out in this country
Apple is not “liberal” – Steve jobs and his company made billions of dollars ruthlessly exploiting child labor and destroying the environment
Facebook is not “left” – Zuckerberg, by all accounts, stole the idea from others. They do not respect their users privacy and take all your information as their own. They sell ads to anyone regardless of truth or purpose
Amazon is not “liberal” – Bezos is the modern day Rockefeller. Amazon’s tactics and strategies are right out of the monopolists playbook. He pits cities and states against one another in order to get tax credits and his slave labor shops built for free, despite being one of the wealthiest people in the planet.
Google is not “liberal” – googles information monopoly is without competition. They actively lobby the government to make sure they are safe from antitrust laws and labor laws.
These companies and their owners are all brutal capitalists. They put up a facade of liberalism by speaking flowery statements about gay rights or banning the use of the word fag. Behind the curtain is the same old right wing, anti worker, anti human ideology that is always present in the capitalist system. Brutally exploit everyone and everything to maximize profits.
Getting tired of people acting like Obamacare is great – it isn’t. Sure, it did some good things like removing lifetime caps, allowing kids to stay under their parents coverage longer, expanding Medicaid, and forcing insurance companies to not discriminate on those with preexisting conditions. It didn’t solve the main problem with healthcare – for profit insurance companies.
The fact is, unless you receive a subsidy to buy insurance, Obamacare is a bad deal for you. The premiums have gone up, insurance company profits are through the roof, and it’s all due to tax payer subsidies to these billion dollar a year companies. Obamacare was the right wing plan, stop pretending it wasn’t.
If we really want to solve our healthcare problems, it’s time for an affordable public option and move towards universal coverage. It would cost less and cover everyone…
Americans are tired of footing the bill for corporations that refuse to give their employees at the bottom raises. Isn’t it time to pass corporate tax reform that penalizes companies that force their employees to rely on taxpayer funds in order to put food on their tables? If you can’t pay a decent wage, then pay triple taxes to cover the cost of feeding your employees.
Americans are getting tired of the disease that the for profit health care industry is forcing upon us. Isn’t it time to push every member of Congress to support #MedicareforAll and cure us of the disease of profiteers in the industry?
