But that’s not what we’re seeing. We’ve learned that in June the president ordered the firing of special counsel, Robert Mueller. The only reason why special counsel Robert Mueller is still in charge of the investigation is because President Trump’s own White House counsel threatened to quit if the president followed through with his order.
We need to protect the special counsel from being unilaterally fired by the president. I’ve introduced bipartisan legislation with Senator Lindsey Graham that will provide checks and balances and help stop the president from doing something so clearly improper.
The true Obama Legacy – not a single criminal in prison for destroying the world economy and fleecing trillions in wealth from average citizens
Alleged fraud put JPMorgan Chase hundreds of millions of dollars ahead; ordinary homeowners, not so much.
The billionaire who assaulted a reporter won the election. Good thing the DCC didn’t fully support Quist, then they’d have another person in their caucus who would push for universal healthcare
Gianforte, 55, a technology entrepreneur, proclaimed his victory shortly after 10:45 p.m. local time, a day after being charged with misdemeanor assault of a reporter for The Guardian newspaper. “Last night, I made a mistake, and I took an action that I can’t take back,” Gianforte told cheering supp…
TrumpCare is ridiculously, absurdly awful – the more we read the more we find out just how bad it is. Just one example: it slashes funding for children with disabilities.
And it still provides pre-existing condition coverage at no extra charge – but only for Members of Congress and their staffs. The rest of us will have to pay far more.
A provision of the Republican plan to replace the Affordable Care Act would sharply cut Medicaid funds for special education programs across the country.
The Democratic Party’s decision to not fully back Quist proves they’ve learned nothing from 2016. If they want to win the House back, they need to fight for every single seat!
It doesn’t mean Democrats have given up completely on the race — or that Republicans are without concerns.
Populism will win in rural states
“Quist is running as a populist and supports a single-payer health care system, but his campaign bristles at comparisons to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), whom Quist backed in the Democratic presidential primary. In his first TV ad, launched Tuesday, he calls single-payer “health care we can afford.” He’s ardently pro-choice and opposes defunding Planned Parenthood, framing it as a fight against government intrusion into people’s personal lives. He understands climate change, but couches his belief with the exact same anecdote used by Zinke ― a story about watching the ice in Glacier National Park recede year after year.”
Big Sky Country Democrats are running a legendary folk singer with a populist flair against a cartoon plutocrat. Why won’t the national party pay attention?
