Happy Birthday to Robin Hood Tax bill sponsor U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders!
Bernie Sanders is still fighting for $15, pursuing universal healthcare, and trying to make college tuition free.
Hilary Clinton is touring the country trying to sell her latest book in which she blames everyone except her self for losing to Trump.
It’s clear who would have been the better president
Centrist Democrats just love to lose. Thinking people in the Midwest and rural areas don’t want affordable medication, well paying jobs, and enjoy being gouged by monopolies is the height of elitist thinking. With these people in charge, the GOP will win a super majority and trump will be reflected if he doesn’t blow us up first…
A new super PAC aims to support Democrats in the heartland region where party has suffered deep losses.
“Any Democrat worth their salt that doesn’t unequivocally say Medicare-for-all is the way to go? To me, there’s something wrong with them,” said former Ohio state Sen. Nina Turner, president of Our Revolution. “We’re not going to accept no more hemming and hawing. No more game playing. Make your stand.”
Bernie Sanders’ single-payer plan sparks fears of primary election challenges.
“A class action lawsuit alleging the Democratic National Committee worked in conjunction with Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign to keep Bernie Sanders out of the White House has been raging on in the courtrooms for months on end–and yet, most people have no idea of its existence, in large part thanks to the mainstream media’s total lack of coverage.”
The mainstream media hasn’t covered a class action lawsuit charging the DNC with election fraud.
It is essential that we elect strong, progressive candidates at every level of government. With Ben as governor, we can make health care a right, not a privilege. We can create a minimum wage which is a living wage. We can stop the school-to-prison pipeline and end mass incarceration. We can make college tuition affordable, protect our environment and create good-paying jobs.
I’d love to see a populist Democrat win a senate seat in Texas. Not sure if Beto O’Rourke is legit, but this would demolish the GOP and Democrat myth that southern states are conservative. Populism has always been big in the south.
Ted Cruz was just out-raised by his Democratic opponent. How that changes the game.
“In 2016, the Democratic Party lost the presidency to possibly the least popular candidate in American history. In recent years, Democrats have also lost the Senate and House to right-wing Republicans whose extremist agenda is far removed from where most Americans are politically. If these results are not a clear manifestation of a failed political strategy, I don’t know what is.
For the sake of our country and the world, the Democratic Party, in a very fundamental way, must change direction. While Democrats should appeal to moderate Republicans who are disgusted with the Trump presidency, too many in our party cling to an overly cautious, centrist ideology. The party’s main thrust must be to make politics relevant to those who have given up on democracy and bring millions of new voters into the political process.”
The Labour Party won big in Britain by pushing a proudly progressive agenda. Democrats in the United States should do the same.
“There was a coup to try to unseat [Jeremy Corbyn]. He was sabotaged relentlessly by his MPs, while he was leader, who were constantly leaking damning information, trying to make him look bad in the press, sabotaging him at every front, right? But the insurgency was ultimately successful, in that this campaign was a tremendous upset.” – Naomi Klein
Over the weekend, more than 4,000 people gathered for the People’s Summit in Chicago. Among those who spoke was Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, who called the Democratic Party’s strategy an absolute failure and blamed the party for the election of President Trump. This comes after the Labour Party i…
