A broken clock is right twice a day, Rand Paul is even less consistent. He is correct here though.
If the Senators and Reps didn’t even read this bill, who took the time to write it?
Rand Paul makes the case for universal healthcare and then quickly slides into nonsense right wing talking points. – “Look at Venezuela” “the Gulag” “the market”….this guy is an absolute idiot
Appearing on CNN Tuesday afternoon, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) attempted to explain his opposition to the GOP’s latest health care plan — only to talk himself into a corner by describing a system that sounds like health care for all.
If you vote for and praise politicians like Paul Ryan who espouse the values of Ayn Rand it may be time to question, if in fact, you are a moral person. This goes double for those who identify as religious and view it as a central guiding force of morality.
Ayn Rand’s “philosophy” is nearly perfect in its immorality, which makes the size of her audience all the more ominous and symptomatic as we enter a curious new phase in our society….To justify and extol human greed and egotism is to my mind not only immoral, but evil.— Gore Vidal, 1961
Tulsi Gabbard and Rand Paul should be encouraged to make a public statement that Military action should not be taken without a vote of Congress as Article 1, Section 8, Clause 11 clearly States only Congress can declare War.
(Unless the United States is under imminant attack)
Donald Trump like Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Ben Carson in their Presidential campaigns is proposing abolishing the Payroll Tax that pays for Social Security and Medicare and instead paying for these Programs out of the General Revenue Fund, this sounds good to low information voters, the reality is that Franklin Delano Roosevelt (A Giant among Men) wanted Social Security to be completly seperate from the Federal General Revenue to stop Politcians from meddling with it, which they have done anyway which began when Reagan began borrowing from the Social Security Trust Fund, if Social Security begins being paid out of the General Revenue then It will not exist in the near future.
