Kids as young as 7 have been hacking our election websites at a hacker event. How many times have you heard that story on the nightly news?
Paper ballots now!
An 11-year-old on Friday was able to hack into a replica of the Florida state election website and change voting results found there in under 10 minutes.
Republicans only care about “national security” when it means shoveling money into the war machine and their pockets. When it comes to decrepit infrastructure, an educated populous, or ensuring our electoral system is safe – things that actually *protect our country* – they could care less
Senate Republicans blocked a Democratic push Wednesday that would have provided $250 million to beef up election security.
Maybe privatizing our election system was a bad idea? 🤷🏻♂️
Governing Magazine: “Last week, Maryland officials announced that the FBI had informed them that ByteGrid LLC, an election vendor that handles the state’s voter registration, election management and election night results sites, is financed by a fund whose manager is Russian and whose top investor is a Russian oligarch.”
States are stepping up their election security but face many challenges: a president still skeptical of Russian interference, a lack of money, and reliance on private vendors for voting equipment and software, to name a few.
“The measure would roll back several key financial regulations, including sections of the Dodd-Frank Act. It does so under the cover of offering consumer protections and coming to the aid of community banks — though the financial institutions that benefit have not-so-obscure names, like American Express, SunTrust, and BB&T.”
An Equifax-inspired reform somehow led to big giveaways for banks. There’s a reason that bipartisanship is fetishized in Washington.
I honestly don’t know how anyone still likes this lady after all she has done
“The politically-explosive revelation that Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic Party paid for some of the research that produced an uncorroborated election-year dossier connecting President Trump to Russia may have broken campaign laws.”

Every vote that is cast needs to have a paper backup otherwise this is common place.
“Based on his review of the emails, Lamb believes that electronic polling books could have been altered in Georgia’s biggest counties to add or drop voters or to scramble their data. Malicious hackers could have altered the templates of voting machine memory cards to skew results.”
A computer server crucial to a lawsuit against Georgia election officials was quietly wiped clean by its custodians just after the suit was filed, The Associated Press has learned. The server’s data was destroyed July 7 by technicians at the Center for Elections Systems at Kennesaw State…
I never supported Hillary and blame her for Trumps election. That said, she was right here.
Too bad she “elevated” Trump and helped him win the GOP nomination….
