Corporations use profits to inflate their stock price and pay larger dividends to share holders. Companies don’t hire people because they have more money, they hire people when there is more demand for products.
51 GOP Senators Just Voted To Cut $1.5 Trillion from Medicare and Medicaid To Give Super-Rich and Corporations a Tax Cut
“51 Republican Senators just voted to cut Medicaid by $1 trillion and Medicare by $500 billion so that millionaires and corporations can get a tax cut. It’s immoral and despicable,” #MAGA
The Republican budget, declared Sen. Sanders after its passage, “is not a bad bill. It’s a horrific bill.”
The modern corporation is bigger and more powerful than sovereign states. Wal Mart has more revenue than Russia
The real powerful states of the world.
“All contributions by corporations to any political committee or for any political purpose should be forbidden by law; directors should not be permitted to use stockholders’ money for such purposes; and, moreover, a prohibition of this kind would be, as far as it went, an effective method of stopping the evils aimed at in corrupt practices acts. Not only should both the National and the several State Legislatures forbid any officer of a corporation from using the money of the corporation in or about any election, but they should also forbid such use of money in connection with any legislation save by the employment of counsel in public manner for distinctly legal services.”
~ Theodore Roosevelt, 1905
Americans are tired of footing the bill for corporations that refuse to give their employees at the bottom raises. Isn’t it time to pass corporate tax reform that penalizes companies that force their employees to rely on taxpayer funds in order to put food on their tables? If you can’t pay a decent wage, then pay triple taxes to cover the cost of feeding your employees.
The United States has “Corporate Personhood” that has led to Corporations being allowed to spend money electing politcians because of a mis-reeading and sloppily written 14th Amendment.
The United States has no Federal Constitutional Right to Vote in the US Constitutiton.
The United States has not Federal Automatic Voter Registration.
But Wall Street knows exactly how to pay for them: Cut your Social Security benefits.
I honestly hate when corporations engage in politics, especially through commercialism. That said, the Heineken “Worlds Apart” commercial is extremely moving and true.
If we all sat down with one another and bonded over a beer, the world would be a better place. Please watch. (Ps Heineken is awful beer. If you sat with me we’d be drinking the good stuff ?)Heineken presents ‘Worlds Apart’ An Experiment. Can two strangers with opposing views prove that there’s more that unites than divides us? #OpenYourWorld Fin…
