So about those jobs you were promised…
“Rather than using record profits, and record amounts of borrowed money, to invest in new plants and equipment, develop new products, improve service, lower prices or raise the wages and skills of their employees, they are “returning” that money to shareholders. Corporate America, in effect, has transformed itself into one giant leveraged buyout.”
Mortgage debt fueled the last bubble. Corporate debt is fueling this one.
Bam, Take that Mr. SHIT HOLE PRESIDENT.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Congressional Democrats are taking a page from the playbook of President Donald Trump and hard-line conservatives: Fight for your base and don’t blink.
Centrist Democrats just love to lose. Thinking people in the Midwest and rural areas don’t want affordable medication, well paying jobs, and enjoy being gouged by monopolies is the height of elitist thinking. With these people in charge, the GOP will win a super majority and trump will be reflected if he doesn’t blow us up first…
A new super PAC aims to support Democrats in the heartland region where party has suffered deep losses.
Sorry I haven’t been posting more, making memes, or writing analysis papers lately. Lately I have been very busy working on local politics and preparing to run for office. Some comments on local politics
1) it appears most local politicians are totally devoid of ideology. They are only partisan in the fact that they have relationships within parties and rely on politics for their livelihoods. Many people owe their careers and big salaries to having the right friends locally. This makes them fear outsiders
2) it is next to impossible to know who your allies are. From what I can tell alliances are constantly shifting, people use one another to advance their cause. When you will help someone move ahead they are your friend, when you won’t help them they will stab you in the back
3) politics and personality collide. Some people who I respect politically are absolute scum bags personally. Some people who are very nice people are ass backwards politically.
4) the parties don’t want people like us there, but their bases do. When I stand up in meetings and speak honestly about problems, people in the crowd clap and applaud me. People know we have problems and they’re tired of people sugar coating.
I suggest everyone get involved and start speaking out. Go to local meetings, town council hearing, public hearings, speak out against these people and let it be know we are watching!
The Republican health care plan that passed the House earlier this month would leave 23 million more Americans without health insurance over the next decade than Obamacare and would reduce the deficit by $119 billion, according to a Congressional Budget Office report on Wednesday.
“Individuals who are ‘extremely careless’ with classified information should be denied further access to information,” Ryan said about someone else in July.
