This is a hard morning. But remember 4 things:
1) The Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) is still the law of the land and its coverage and protections, including for people with pre-existing conditions, is in place.
2) This terrible bill has a long road to travel before becoming law (and it will not become law). This vote was only 1 step; a step that was supposed to be very very easy given the Republican-controlled White House and Congress.
3) We thought we would be here much earlier in the year. The only reason we were able to delay this shameful vote by the House of Representatives was because of the HUGE outcry from a diverse spectrum of voices opposing repeal of Obamacare.
4) We will STOP THIS IN THE SENATE.
