Want to solve illegal immigration?
1) prosecute employers who hire them
2) allow law abiding people who want to improve their lives an easy path to citizenship
3) treat all workers under the same set of labor laws. The reason illegal immigrants are hired is because employers know they can pay them less and treat them like trash. If the speak up, you just threaten deportation.
The “immigration problem” is as easy as 1, 2, 3! The only thing preventing this is the wealthy politicians and their donors who exploit immigrants to make more money for themselves.
Ps, a Wall will not solve the problem
“Jim Comey didn’t tell her not to campaign in Wisconsin after the convention,” said Axelrod, who served as former president Barack Obama’s adviser, on CNN on Wednesday. “Jim Comey didn’t say ‘don’t put any resources into Michigan until the final week of the campaign.'” David Axelrod, Democratic Strategist
Axelrod said Clinton shouldn’t shift responsibility for her loss and should move on.
Unbelievable. It seems Sessions is using the justice department as his own personal vendetta machine
As attorney general, Jeff Sessions now heads the Justice Department.
People are getting confused here. We don’t critique and prod the DNC or democrats in general out of support of trump or lust for the GOP to win. Quite the contrary.
We criticize these groups in order to educate people to the error of their ways. Too many people are acting as if Trump is *THE PROBLEM* when in fact he is a symptom of the various problems we face.
Trump didn’t get elected in a vacuum. Decades of bad policy, politics, and a changing world brought us Trump. Unless we correct the underlying issues that got us here, we will be doomed with another term of Trump, or far worse, someone as evil but actually competent. We must not let that happen.
Coming off of eight years of Obama, we must realize trump ran against his record. The Obama economy has left far too many people behind and struggling. Mired in debt, poverty, with no room for advancement, people feel cornered with no where to turn. This is why we have Trump. Instead of offering a clear difference and vision of a brighter future, Clinton promised to carry on Obamas legacy, which for too many of our neighbors means poverty and no room for advancement.
This doesn’t mean Obama didn’t face adversity. Being the first black president was sure to produce and immense backlash of hatred. A GOP clouded with racism and corporate cash did everything possible to sabotage and tear Obama down. Despite that, Obama failed to even attempt to bring he change we so sorely need.
On health care, his White House lobbied against the public option. Administering the bailouts, his justice department pursued the policy of “too big to jail” instead of prosecuting the Wall Street criminals. On many other issues – foreign policy, civil liberties, corporate mergers and consolidation, income inequality, militarism, corporate crime, and climate change – Obama choose to follow the status qou than to fight it. This is why we criticize Obama. Obama has the opportunity and means to be a truly transformational leader, heads his choice not to be.
We need a transformation in this country, in a progressive direction. As FDR once said “it is time for the country to become radical for a generation”. I’m afraid we have now become the radicals, just the wrong kind. Right wing reactionaries threaten to destroy all we hold dear. Let’s not make excuses for the people who allowed them to take power.
This is why Trump won. These are the stark realities of the Obama recovery.
“In a recent survey, 56 percent of Americans said they have less than $1,000 in their checking and savings accounts combined, Forbes reports. Nearly a quarter (24.8 percent) have less than $100 to their name. Meanwhile, 38 percent said they would pay less than their full credit card balance this month, and 11 percent said they would make the minimum payment—meaning they would likely be mired in debt for years and pay more in interest than they originally borrowed.”
According to a new survey.

“History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.” — George Orwell, 1984
Identity politics are all the corporate democrats have. They pander to their base, placating them on social issues while letting corporate America savage us all. It’s the perfect cover. Give lip service to social issues to keep the base happy while selling the working class down the river to keep the donor class happy. 2016 proves this no longer works!
The “Real Time” host said Democrats “obsess” over the wrong issues.
